🌟 Here are 4 questions to ask yourself if you feel like you are facing burnout in or out of the workplace. 

Burnout is a state of emotional, physical and mental exhaustion that is caused by prolonged stress. 

This stress can be caused by a variety of factors such as parenting, caregiving, relationships, etc. 

  1. What are the signs of burnout am I experiencing? Developing awareness in identifying the signs of burnout is the first step towards addressing it. Whether it’s chronic fatigue, increased anxiety, or decreased productivity, identifying these signs enables us to take proactive measures to safeguard our well-being.
  2. What aspects of my life are contributing to my feelings of burnout? Understanding the root causes of burnout empowers us to make informed decisions about our path forward. Whether it’s lack of autonomy, excessive workload, or general unfulfillment, pinpointing these factors allows us to implement necessary changes.
  3. How can I prioritize self-care amidst life’s demands and challenges? This is key, and can’t underscore the importance of self-care is for our well-being. Self-care is not selfish, and is non-negotiable in combating burnout. Whether it’s establishing boundaries, practicing mindfulness, or seeking support from others, incorporating self-care practices is essential for replenishing our energy and resilience.
  4. What steps can I take now to restore balance and fulfillment? Reclaiming balance and fulfillment requires intentional action. Whether it’s reassessing your social commitments, prioritizing self-care, or creating new boundaries, taking these proactive steps toward alignment with our values and goals is KEY. 

As someone that has experienced burnout over the course of my corporate HR career, I am now committed to finding more balance and fulfillment in this next phase of my work coaching.
